Everest Base Camp trek most famous trekking route in the world and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see some of the most breathtaking scenery imaginable. Nepal is a fascinating country and the trek gives an insight into the lives and culture of the Sherpa people. Everest trek is not only famous for its proximity to the world’s highest mountain (8848m.) but also for its friendly Sherpa people, Namche bazaar, the colorful center of Sherpa life and a meeting place for Himalayan traders and yak caravans.

Our ascent is steady and well placed to best suit the acclimatization needed. Sunrise on the snow capped peaks above the Khumbu Glacier is an unforgettable sight from the summit of Kala Pattar. From Kalapathar (5545m) offers the best vantage point for viewing Everest. Tengboche Monastery, the focus of Sherpa Buddhist devotion, sits at an elevation of 3,867n with Ama Dablam (6856m) as a magnificent backdrop. The flora and fauna are other treasure of the Sagarmatha National Park.
There are many options for additional exploration and high-altitude walking, including the crossing of Cho La, a 5420m, hike to Gokyo Ri . Strenuous trekking is continuously rewarded with dramatic Himalayan scenes, including four of the world’s highest peaks: Cho Oyu (8,201m.), Makalu (8,463m.), Lhotse (8,516m.) and Everest (8,848m)

Everest Kalapathar Trekking Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in kathamandu
Travel from your homeport to Kathamandu. We will meet you at the Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to your hotel. You will be invited to visit our office for a briefing about your program.


Day 2: Sight-seeing of Kathmandu:
Whole day’s sightseeing to all UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Kathamandu Valley.( Hindu’s greatest temple Pashupatinath & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath, Monkey Temple known as Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. and return to hotel.

Day 3: Flight from KTM – Lukla.
After reaching to Lukla we continue trek to Phakding, which takes approximately 3 hours on the way you will have a view of mt. Nupla( 5885m) Kusum Kangaru (6367m) and mt kongde range. Overnightin Phakding (2,652m).




Day 4: Phakding to Namche (3,440m)-
We will be walking along the river crossing it at different points by improvised wooden bridges at Benkar 8,900 ft. Jorsale 9,200 ft and two Hillary bridges, at the confluence of Bhotekosi and Dudhkosi. Have lunch stop near the confluence. Now a steep ascent of over 1000 ft. to reach Namche Bazar at Namche and Jorsala, our trekking permits will be checked by Nepal immigration office. There are shops, health clinic and wireless stations. Saturdays are the weekly market days. Camping site is suggested above the bazar in the flat ground for big groups.





Day 5: Acclimatization.
Rest at Namche Bazar for acclimatization .There have been cases of trekkers falling ill with the altitude sickness at the NamcheBazaar after climbing in hurry .Acclimatisiting here is particularly important for the onward trek, when you begin gaining height quickly.There is much to explore around the Namche and great mountain view to savour. From their we can view snowy mountain and other beautiful mountain range.


Day 6: Namche to Tengboche (3,867m):
We will reach phungithanga with in a hour walk ,from there the trail climbs through forests where you can spot musk deer. Tengboche one of the most beautiful place in planet, surrounded by dwarf fires and rododendroms. Beautiful views of Kwongde (6187m) Tawache(6542m) Everest (8848m) Nuptse (7855m) Lhotse (8618m) Amadablam (6856m) Thamserku (6608m) provide and inspiring panorama of Himalayan giants.



Day 7: Tengboche to Pheriche:
Beyond Tengboche the altitude really starts to tell. The trail droops down to Dingboche, crosses the Imja Khola and climbs past superb mani stones ( carved with the Tibetan Buddhist chant om mani padme hum) to Pangboche at 3860m .Then the trail start climbs to Pheriche 4240m.Where there is a medical facility, which gives lectures everyday on Altitude Sickness.



Day 8: Another acclimatization day,
Again walking up and then coming back down is better than just resting in high altitude, Have a relaxed breakfast as you admire Alam Dablam looming on the south. You can make a day trip to Nangkartshang Gompa or up the hill to look down onto Dingboche, either walk offers good views.



Day 9: Pheriche to Lobuche –
The trail climbs to Phalang karpo at 4340m then Duglha at 4620m,From Dughla the trail ascends the broad, gently sloping valley and climb steeply in to the terminal moraine of the Khumbu glacier then left in to the memorial area Chukpilhara, bef.ore reaching the Lobuche at 4930m .



Day 10: Lobuche to Gorakshep.
Following the trail from Lobuche we arrive grassy ablation valley with great views of Pumori then crosses tributary glaciers to reach the dry lake bed of Gokrakshep, you can have a rest after lunch or can walk to Everest Base Camp. It will be about 4 and half hours trek up to Everest Base Camp and back to Gorakshep. The trek is on glacier and snow capped rocks.




Day 11: Gorakshep to Kala Patthar :
We climb to Kala Patthar early in morning (5545m.) to enjoy the view of sunrise. From Kala Patthar you can have a panoramic view of Mt. Everest and many other mountain peaks like Mt. Pumori, Khumbetse, Mt. Lingtren Mt. Lhotse , Mt. Nuptse , Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku and other mountains. After trek we step down to Pheriche , there is a good facilities of International Telephone and medical treatment.




Day 12: Pheriche to Phortse
The trail descends to Pangboche and now the trail starts turning up and down in every half an hour to Phortse. You will have an opportunity to see wild life in the area like mountain goat, musk deer and many species of Himalayan birds. Overnight in Phortse (3750m)



Day 13: Phortse to Khumjung (3790m.)
Within a hour walk we will arrive at Mongla. From here you will see a panoramic view of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kusum Kangaru, Konde-Ri and Tawache peak. After walking 2 hour you will arrive Khumjung (3780m), Khumjung is the largest settlement village in the Sherpa land where you will have chance to see real Sherpas’ life style and there cultural activities, The village has also a high school which is funded by Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation and also an old monastery where they have preserved famous Yeti skull.


Day 14: Khumjung to Phakding,
The trail again drops to Namche Bazar and have a short tea/coffee on the way and continue stepping down till we reaches Jorsale Village for our lunch break and continue walk to Phakding.


Day 15: Phakding to Lukla:
Final day of the trek in a bustling town .


Day 16: Flight from Lukla –
KTM, transfer to hotel


Day 17:Kathmandu free day,
Evening cultural program with Nepali dinner, Hotel.


Day 18:
Final departure, transfer to airport .
